Rain Rain, Go Away?

I used to have a journal on opendiary for years. I was even interviewed by newpapers and radio stations about why I blogged. At that time, with two young sons, it was vital to me to keep a diary... to vent, to socialise, to record. As they got older it somewhat fizzled out. This happened when I left their father. I didnt have the time to sit down and journal as much anymore, but I think the real excuse was because I prefered not to re-read on the screen the reality in which I was actually living. I only wanted to record happy times, and for the last four years, things have been more than tough.

So, from the time I was originally blogging... my first born has grown from this...

...to this.
And my second born son has grown from this...

... to this.
Instead of writing about wonderful things and memories, I threw myself into study to get a good job for the sake of my kids which was a saviour at the time because it was a worthy distraction from everything else going on. Anyone who has been through a separation will know exactly what I am talking about... but moving along.

So why am I back at it again? Well... I am happily expecting another baby (that is a whole other story for another time, and one I have been journalling in private about!) The time is drawing close and in under 3 months time I expect to be holding a new life in my arms, in a totally foreign way... with a connected and loving partner who is thrilled to be entering parenthood for his very first time. Needless to say, things are buzzing around here.

I have gone from a mother of two, working part time running my own fitness business and studying fulltime to pursue a career in law, to a mother of two with one in the oven,  and still studying full time to pursue a career in law with a business in fitness to fall back on should we need the extra financial support. Clearly, I don' t do boring.

I think I should end this here, but on a totally random note, its funny to me how people will always find something to complain about. For example, here where I live, after suffering years of drought, people feel the urge to complain after two weeks of overcast, dreary weather. I just find it amusing that people will whinge when its too hot and dry and wish it would rain, and then when it does, they wish it to be hot again. Yes, I prefer the clear blue sky, but hey, it takes both the sunshine and the rain to make a rainbow....

  1. Welcome back to blogging, look forward to reading about the journey! And I'm with you about the rain, I'd far rather have some snug rainy days and no drought! :)
